How do remote sessions work?


Since the beginning of the pandemic, I transitioned most of my students to remote learning. Offering tutoring online has given students more access to my services. I find Zoom to be the most effective online platform for tutoring, but I have also had success through various video chat platforms like Facetime and Skype.




What are the location options for in-person sessions?


Students can either come to me in Hoboken, NJ, or I can travel to their home for an additional commuting fee. At this time, I cannot offer sessions in public libraries or cafes, so it is more difficult to arrange in person sessions that do not take place at home. Covid-19 safety precautions will need to be put in place, including masks worn by both parties, a system for circulating air, a constant flow of fresh air, and disinfection of all services.




What can a student expect from a session with Emily?


I tailor every session to my students' individual needs. Some students struggle with understanding the material at hand, some need to build more basic calculation skills so that they can tackle more challenging problems with ease, and others need help increasing their speed and accuracy for test taking. I pride myself in quickly analyzing what road blocks a student is hitting and how I can best guide them forward to success.




What is the cost of a tutoring session?


Pricing has been established based on my education, experience, and the quality of my services. Rates vary with subject level, length of time, and location. Please contact me for more information.




What are my options for sending payments?


I accept payment through Venmo, Apple Pay, Chase QuickPay with Zelle, and Cash App.
